How to Achieve ISO 27001 Certification

In today’s business landscape, information is undoubtedly among an organisation’s valuable assets.  The unauthorised disclosure of sensitive information, such as commercially sensitive information or personally identifiable information (PII), can have devastating consequences for an organisation, and an increasing number of entities look for formal assurance that organisations have appropriate information security controls in place before engaging them as a supplier or service provider.  As such, there has never been a better time than now to certify against ISO 27001, the International Standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS’).

On 20 November, URM is delivering a half-day ISO 27001 implementation seminar, where you can learn not just about the benefits and costs of certifying, but also what you need to do (and avoid!) in order to achieve and maintain certification to ISO 27001:2022.  The seminar will also feature additional insights provided by BSI, the UK’s national standards body.

By attending the seminar, you will receive top tips from URM and BSI’s experts on the key steps you will need to take to implement an ISO 27001-conformant ISMS and certify against the Standard.  In addition, URM will draw upon its extensive experience supporting organisations’ certification projects to highlight some common pitfalls to avoid when implementing ISO 27001.  We will also discuss the key changes that can be seen in ISO 27001:2022, the newest version of the Standard, and how to take advantage of some of the new features, notably attributes.

The seminar will run from 9:30am – 1pm on Wednesday 20 November, and will be held in London.
