Beyond ISO 27001 - DORA and NIS 2

This joint webinar from URM Consulting Services and DNV will provide an overview of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and the Network and Information Systems Directive 2 (NIS 2), two key components of the European Union's strategy to enhance cybersecurity and operational resilience across various sectors.  We will be examining what organisations that are already certified to ISO 27001 would typically need to do in order to comply with each of them.  It will provide a high-level overview of the DORA Regulation and NIS 2 Directive which will include:

• The purpose of each, including key differences and similarities
• What types of organisation need to comply with each
• The structure of each
• How each will be enforced.

We will then discuss how an ISO 27001-conformant ISMS and its associated control framework will meet the requirements of DORA and NIS 2 and where more rigorous levels of control (and therefore more detailed levels of evidence) will be required in comparison to ISO 27001.  We will indicate those control areas which are likely to be new or significantly different from the those that an ISO 27001 certified organisation will already have in place.

Finally, we will discuss how applicable DORA and NIS 2 are to UK-based organisations and what the UK Government’s plans are to have comparable measures in place.
